My Story

Is Ashley Madison A Scam? Are they a fraud?

What’s the story behind AshleyMadisonSucks.com?

Hi, my name is John… If you’re anything like me, you’re just a normal person who would like to meet someone attractive to go hook up with… And that’s why you joined Ashley Madison…

At least that’s why I joined Ashley Madison…

And that’s why I spent my hard earned money for their service – to increase my chance of meeting someone local in my area… (I work from home and so it’s hard to meet people…  it seemed like a good idea at the time).

I did NOT sign up with Ashley Madison to spend my money and time looking at and emailing fake profiles… like on many other infidelity websites. I did NOT want to be contacted by “robots”, and have the money sucked out of my account for chatting with people who I thought were potential dates…

Is Ashley Madison a Scam? You Tell me.

This website chronicles the stories of many users and their experiences with married dating, and I want to make it open for you to tell your story too! Does it suck?

Please read on, and feel free to comment with your OWN story of being shafted or successfully having an affair on Ashley Madison

As a matter of fact, if you email me your story by clicking the link below, it will be put up as an entry on this site.  We need to make our voices heard so others learn from our experience… good or bad…

I know that in there past there were real women on AM, as I met several. For the most part, I had pretty good experiences with it. That was back in 07, 08. I got back on last year to try it out again, but have not had any of the success rate as last time. And this time, it does seem like there is a lot of shady things going on.

I’ve gotten tons of collect messages, sometimes reading them, sometimes not. Of the ones I’ve read, most seemed to be completely bogus. And I noticed most of those accounts quickly disappeared after that.

Same with winks and things like that, many of them look to be from brand new accounts, many disappear a few days later whether you contact them or not.

And I’ve noticed if I haven’t been on in a while then all of a sudden I get a wink wanting me to contact them. Always from a new account, sometimes with private photos.

I have one right now that was in my state, I sent her a wink, heard nothing back for several days. Then all of a sudden, she changed her pictures (looks like a different person now), sends me a collect message and adds me to her favorites list. and is now in a neighboring state – not close. We’re talking probably 12hours away or more! I haven’t bothered reading her collect message because I’m pretty sure its a bogus account that is just trying to waste my credits.

So, my thoughts now are: There are still real accounts on AM, but I am strongly thinking there are also MANY fake accounts. And if that is the case, then the big question is, are they AM generated profiles to just waste user’s credit? Since I can’t think of a way others can make money off of wasting credits, it stands to reason that AM is being less than honest with their customers…

It is getting to the point that I have trouble trusting any profile that doesn’t have the smiley’s checked off for meeting someone in person!

One thing I would strongly urge against is chatting in AM. It just seems way too shady and unnecessary. Just exchange IM information in an email! If they are pushing for AM chat, I would be EXTREMELY leery. Actually, overall I feel pretty leery about AM in general now!
