Members try to SCAM Ashley Madison

I disputed a charges one time with AM. AM sent copies all of my emails via my AMX statement. I had to be careful to make sure my wife wouldn't read them!

name – withheld (sorry)

Editor:
Ashley Madison says they're all about discretion and I've never heard that they've violate this promise except in this case when someone disputes charges (can you blame them?). When you make an Ashley Madison purchase, your credit card will be discretely billed which makes it hard to get caught through your statement. When you dispute a charge, the Ashley Madison has the opportunity to prove you made the purchase. If they can prove to the credit card company that you made the charges, the credit card company will send you proof showing why they will NOT reverse the charges.
In the above case it looks like the guy tried to dispute a charge he made, and got proven wrong. If you're married and trying to date, it's best to err on the side of discretion and avoid getting caught. Don't dispute the charges.

"I forgot about my account and my credits were still there after a year!!"

So about a year ago I was having trouble with my relationship and thought I would try to maybe find someone else in the same position. Ashley sounded like a pretty good way of going about that so I signed up. After the first day I was having a hard time trying to connect with women and I wasn't quite sure why. I was bummed that it was going to take more work to find someone than I initially expected. I tried with little success and honestly kind of forgot about my account.

I am single now and thought “Hey, I should go back to Ashley and blow the rest of those credits.” So, I sent off about 5 emails to profiles that were vacant. When I say vacant, I mean no photo, no descriptions, the profiles looked fake. And here is the BEST PART… I got several responses. I had to wait to get photographs of them after a few exchanges, many women hardly ever put photos up or they're private photos. Some people cry about Ashley Madison having many scam profiles (I guessNigerian scam profiles?), I have flagged a few odd profiles and many have been deleted. Ashley Madison is not a scam, but there are scammers which it looks like AM is trying to fight.
Guess what?
I blew all my credits, but I RENEWED because I found real women and realized that they are not a scam. Ashley clearly states that the first email will cost you credits, but after that it is free. Take your time when talking to these women, whats the rush?

Men to Women Ratio

I'd like to take a moment to address something…  I get a lot of email from people coming to this site, and every once in a while I get an email from a woman who will tell me how she has had no problem finding MEN on the AM website.

This is roughly equivalent to saying that you have no problem finding bees in a bee hive.  If you go to a website jammed with men, finding men is not going to be an issue.

When it comes to extra marital affairs, it's obvious men will out number women. Ashley Madison doesn't even hide the fact that men out number women as seen in this old media piece:

Given this, women, you have your pick. Men, you have to bring your A-game. This stat probably isn't isolated to the site, if you want to cheat, you'll just have a lot fewer women to choose from.

Too Good to be True?

I have to admit, it seemed too good to be true.  A 19 old girl, weighing 105 who checked off every desire, from bondage to threesome. But hell, I wrote her a very witty note.  No reply.  Okay, I tried another, nothing.  I uploaded a pix showing my six pack (not the kind from a liquor store).  Zilch.  Then I noticed I had used up my “credits”.  Then I get an email, saying I have a secret admirer.  So I buy a bunch more credits, reply and she is off line, all in three minutes!  I've gotten “virtual drinks” whatever those are (little pictures of martinis) presumably so I will send gifts back (which cost, by the way).  Those gifts were sent by 4 different women, at the same time, from different parts of the US and none had their pictures posted. Oh, and I couldn't reply to any of them, cause they were blocked.  Does that make any sense to you?  That different women would contact me, only to block themselves from my return contact.

At least the people who work for AM are so stupid (probably outsourced to Bangladesh) that I caught on.  DId you ever read the fine print to the contract?  I finally did.  It actually admits they will send fake profiles to me from time to time, as promotions!!!!!

DON”T JOIN THIS SCAM BUNCH!!

Coincidence? Scam?

 Subject: AM Scam
Hi,
I thought this was fishy so I would like to share my experiences with you. I sometimes get new AM mail notification sent to my email but when I immediately log into my AM account the senders profile says they haven't been logged in for 4+ hours sometimes 1 day.
Coincidence? Scam?
Ed Note: Not sure. Email is an odd thing. Sometimes when sites have to deliver a lot of email the system gets backed up and it takes time for the email to be sent. Seems like it's more of a coincidence.
